| Type | clinical |
| Stored in | clinical_data.csv |
| Unit | days |
Description¶
Day count, read as nights or completed days: 815 one-day stays against 98 two-day stays argue against calendar days touched. The rule is an assumption, so ±1 day is kept.
Time¶
This variable carries no time of its own in the dataset.
Value¶
| Model kind | triangular_count: day count with ±1 uncertainty |
| Resolution | whole days, counting rule unknown (±1) |
| Anchor | counting rule (assumption) |
In this release¶
How wide the true-value distribution is, record by record, over 6,388 of 6,388 records (all clinical rows) that have one. Computed with the pinned model, aggregates only.
| Median | p10 to p90 | |
|---|---|---|
| Standard deviation | 0 days | 0 to 0.408 days |
| 95% interval width | 0 days | 0 to 1.55 days |
| Mean minus recorded | 0 days | 0 to 0 days |
Anchor¶
815 one-day stays against 98 two-day stays argue against calendar days touched; read as nights or completed days. See what an anchor is and every variable's anchor.
Observations¶
| Observation | Status | Summary |
|---|---|---|
| Some ICU stays are longer than the postoperative stay | likely | In 37 cases the ICU day count reaches or exceeds the days from surgery to discharge, though the release describes it as the postoperative ICU stay. Most are emergencies with long stays before surgery, so the count probably includes ICU days before the operation. |
