Recorder PC against UTC

The recorder PC keeps Windows time, synchronised to the hospital's time server every 8–24 hours. Its offset from UTC is assumed, not observed; no step of 0.5 s or more appears anywhere in the release.

Correction

Windows time synchronisation (NTP to the hospital time server) every 8–24 h is assumed. Whatever correction it makes is smaller than 0.5 s: no simultaneous jump of every device of that size was found in any file (Largest recorder PC clock step).

Parameters

Parameter Value Status From
Largest recorder PC clock step no step of 0.5 s or more in 6,388 files (19,006 h) measured Recorder PC clock steps and recording pauses
Recorder PC synchronisation interval 8–24 h (assumed) assumed —
Recorder PC drift against UTC 0.1–10 ppm (assumed) assumed —
Recorder PC offset from UTC 3 ms to 0.9 s (assumed) assumed —

Evidence

Study Date Status Summary
Recorder PC clock steps and recording pauses 2026-10-17 current A step of the recorder PC clock would move every device's stamps at once. Searching all 6,388 files for such simultaneous jumps found none of 0.5 s or more; what moves everything together is recording pauses.
